Star Spangled Fourth provides fun and entertainment for the entire family. Here are a few guidelines to help you make the most of your festival experience:
Do bring sunscreen
Do drink plenty of water
Do take special care with your children and infants in the heat
Do bring chairs and/or blankets to sit on during concerts
Do wear weather appropriate clothing, including shirts and shoes
Do carpool
Do use DART
Don't bring pets
Don't bring alcohol or drink alcohol before arriving
Don't bring weapons of any kind
Inclement Weather Policy
The City of Garland will monitor the weather prior to and during Star Spangled Fourth. Should there be a threat of severe weather in the vicinity, the event may be cancelled. If inclement weather develops prior to the event, please check the status of the event and fireworks display at www.starspangledfourth.com. If inclement weather develops during the event, information on delays or cancellations will be announced from the stages. Should severe weather develop that could essentially affect the safety of the public, the City of Garland may close the event area and evacuation procedures will be announced from the stages and/or emergency personnel.
