Welcome to the City of Garland Parks and Recreation Department. Our administration office is located at 634 West Apollo Road in Coomer Park with hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Garland Parks and Recreation Department provides a broad range of recreational programs, classes and fun opportunities through a park system that includes over 2,300 acres of park land and award-winning park facilities.

PUBLIC INPUT MEETING NOTICE: You are invited to a public input meeting for the development of Harris Hollabaugh Park. The Parks and Recreation Department will present the proposed design of the new recreation center and park development for Harris Hollabaugh Park, 3925 W. Walnut Avenue.

PLAY Online is Garland Parks and Recreation Department's Play Online Registration and Reservation System. PLAY allows you to register for classes, camps, trips, programs, reserve ballfields and pavilions, and make payments on your family account from the comfort of your home, 24 hours a day.

Available to the public are five recreation centers, two senior citizen centers, four swimming pools, a 13-court tennis center with pro shop, 40 playgrounds, 73 athletic fields, four group picnic pavilions, a marina, and more than 20 miles of trails.
|

Whether it’s splashing in the waves at Surf and Swim Wave Pool, ballroom dancing at the Garland Senior Activity Center, guided nature tours at the Spring Creek Forest Preserve, Jazzercise classes at Audubon Recreation Center or Holford Recreation Center, sailboarding on Lake Ray Hubbard at Windsurf Bay Park, adult softball leagues at Carter Softball Complex, or Special Olympic sports through our Therapeutic Recreation Program, try us for your family’s recreation needs.
