Be Bloomin' Creative; Plant Native

Garland, TX - February 29, 2008 -- This Spring, you can save some green by going green in your garden.  Mark the Seventh Annual “March is Texas SmartScape™ Month” in Garland by using an environmentally and economically sound landscaping method.

Texas SmartScape™ uses less water, fertilizer and pesticide than many other landscaping methods.  Implementing this landscape design creates a lush, beautiful and easy-to-maintain environment that can save users money by cutting outdoor watering and chemical costs.

Garland residents are invited to call 972-205-2466 to request an original Texas SmartScape™ CD-ROM.  Each caller supplying complete entry information during the month of March will be eligible to win a SmartScape™ Starter Pack gift.  Drawings will be held each Friday in March.  Two winners will be selected during each drawing.  Call the above number for complete rules.  CD-ROMs are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The most up-to-date SmartScape information can be found online at www.txsmartscape.com.  Enhancements include more photos of native and adapted plants and musical introductory slideshow.
