Garland Fair Housing Office & Consumer Credit Counseling Service “Present Money Matters, Budgeting and Credit Seminar”

The City of Garland and Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Dallas, Inc. (CCCS) have teamed up to bring residents strategic and creative budget planning to address the budgetary challenges posed in today’s economy.   The “Money Matters, Budget and Credit Seminar” will provide vital information about credit management, development of workable budgets, money matters and overall financial literacy. 
 
Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Dallas, Inc. (CCCS) is a non-profit, accredited agency that provides individuals with financial counseling.  The “Money Matters, Budgeting and Credit Seminar” will show participants proven strategies to budget on a limited income, cut back on non-essential items, manage mortgage payments, record keeping, establishing credit, and effective debt repayment strategies.  The seminar will provide an opportunity for all participants to evaluate their financial status and develop strategies for strengthening credit worthiness.  
 
The Garland Fair Housing Office mission is to educate residents about fair housing laws and eliminate housing discrimination.   Residents’ rights and responsibilities under the Fair Housing Ordinance will also be presented.
