Community Relations
The Community Relations Department serves as the central point of communications, marketing, community outreach, publicity and promotional opportunities for the city. The department produces the Garland City Press and provides graphic design support for city departments. The department coordinates the Keep Garland Beautiful program and oversees the operation of Garland's Day Labor Center. In addition, it produces Christmas on the Square and Star Spangled Fourth and assists non-profit groups with special events scheduled throughout the year.
Garland Convention and Visitors Bureau
The Garland Convention and Visitors Bureau mission is to enhance the economic tax base through facility and destination marketing, promoting tourism, sporting tournaments, and conventions. Working with the local hotel industry, special event facilities and local attractions venues, the Convention and Visitors Bureau continues to attract visitors to the City of Garland. The services of the Garland Convention and Visitor's Bureau are managed by the Community Relations Department.
